Pravin Tarde's historical epic 'Sarsenapati Hambirrao', based on the life of Maratha warrior Hambirrao Mohite who was a commander in the army of seventeenth-century warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, collected Rs 2.06 crore on the first day of its release.
The film recorded a rise in the collection as it raked in Rs 3.31Cr on Sunday.
According to the production house, the overall collection of 'Sarsenapati Hambirrao' at the box office in the past three days has been Rs 8.71 crore which is much higher than the box office collection of Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer 'Anek'.
According to reports, Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer 'Anek' continued on the third day as its box office collection dropped by 15 per cent on Sunday. It earned in the range of Rs 1.95 crore to 2.15 crore. Now, its total collection stands at around Rs 6.50 crore.
