'Sarsenapati Hambirrao': Character poster of Shruti Marathe as 'Maharani Soyarabai' unveiled!

Actress Shruti Marathe who is well-known for her films like 'Baji', 'Sangharsh Yatra', 'Bandh Nylon Che', among others, is all set to show her acting prowess in Pravin Tarde's upcoming historical film 'Sarsenapati Hambirrao'.
To keep the excitement going, recently, the makers of the film unveiled a character poster of Shruti Marathe as 'Maharani Soyarabai'.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Shruti shared her character poster and wrote, "स्वराज्याच्या दोन्ही युवराजांना प्रेमानं वाढवलेली स्वराज्य माऊली!

In an exclusive interview with ETimes, Shruti had opened up about her character in the film. Shruti had said, " 'Soyarabai' is the most misunderstood character and people may say that she was very negative and grey shade character. If we look from her perspective, I think whatever she did was right and she did it for her son"

Talking about the film, 'Sarsenapati Hambirrao' is based on the life of an unsung warrior Hansaji Mohite, who was the military commander of the Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He was conferred with the title 'Hambirrao' by Shivaji Maharaj.
It also stars Gashmeer Mahajani, Raqesh Bapat and Snehal Tarde in pivotal roles. The film is slated to release on May 27, 2022.
