Vijay Tendulkar's play Kamla adapted into serial

Famous playwright Vijay Tendulkar's play 'Kamla' is now being adapted into a full-fledged television show.
The play which was set up in 1970s, will be adapted to suit the current times. The story of the play revolved around the subject of human trafficking where a journalist exposes the scandal by buying a girl himself. With his wife's consent he later gives her refuge in his own house.The serial goes beyond the play exploring the relationship between the three protagonists. Actors Deepti Ketkar, Akshar Kothari and Ashwini Kasar will be playing the protagonists in the show where debutant Ashwini will be portraying the title role of Kamla.
