Guri: Dilip Kumar proved that someone can actually be called a ‘Superstar’

The void created by the demise of Dilip Kumar can’t be filled by anything. However, everyone is trying to put their pain and grief in words. Punjabi singer Guri also tried to do the same when he had an exclusive conversation with ETimes.
“I am an artist and someone who has a keen interest in Hindi cinema, and one who appreciates art. As we all know that Dilip Kumar ji is now no more with us, but he will always stay alive in our hearts,” said the singer.
Recalling the legend of Bollywood, Guri added, “a lot of artists came and went in Hindi cinema, but his entry changed the face of the film industry.Dilip Kumar proved that someone can actually be called a superstar. In 1956, the Filmfare started, and in the very first award event, he was honored by the title of 'Best Actor'. I really wanted to meet him once, but now that dream can't come true.”
“In the end, all I want to say, that I, Guri, alongwith all the well-wishers, fans, and loved ones of Dilip Kumar, express our grief over the late actor's demise. I pray that Waheguru may bless his soul with peace,” concluded Guri with a heavy heart.
After suffering from a prolonged illness Dilip Kumar breathed his last on Wednesday, at the age of 98. His was laid to rest with all-state honours at Juhu Qabrastan.
