Naresh Kanodia remembers Rajesh Khanna

Shooting for his upcoming film in Vadodara, actor Naresh Kanodia could not believe when he heard the news of superstar Rajesh Khanna’s sad demise.
‘Bharat key superstar bahut jaldi hi chhod ke chale gaye. Sab pyaase reh gaye,” said Kanodia who has fond memories of meeting the legend who came to Ahmedabad 30 years back to attend a concert. “I did not get to work with him because I did only Gujarati films. At the musical evening organized by Mahesh Kumar at the Ahmedabad Police Stadium I met him,” said Kanodia.
The actor added, “Mahesh (Kanodia) and I arranged a special chartered plane which was a rarity those days. We flew Rajesh to Ahmedabad. Dimple Kapadia was also there. They were not married then. I remember, the evening where I sang songs from Aradhana and after the show, he had dinner with us.”
The snaps taken that night will let him relive the moments spent with Kaka. “Woh Bharat ke superstar they aur main Gujarat ka superstar. Safar adhura reh gaya unke jaane ke baad,” said Kanodia.
