'Maaveeran' box office day 5: Sivakarthikeyan starrer runs steady; aims at Rs 100 crore

Madonne Ashwin's creation 'Maaveran' was released in theatres on July 14. The fantasy action drama stars Sivakarthikeyan, Mysskin and Aditi Shankar in lead roles and the music is composed by Bharath Shankar. The movie makers took to social media on July 18 to officially announce that the film has crossed Rs 50 crore mark at the box office worldwide. The film even after 5 days is running steady in theatres in Tamil Nadu.
Sivakarthikeyan's 'Maaveran' apart from Tamil Nadu was also released in Telugu as 'Mahaveerudu' and the movie has made a strong ground in US and Malaysia as well.The film is reportedly said to be the 6th highest grosser Tamil film of 2023.
Producer Arun Viswa also took to social media to thank Sivakarthikeyan for the film's success. His statement read, "I never dreamt of making my debut film on such a grand scale with such a big star! And then the big day arrived on July 14, 2023! Ever since, whatever has happened has been surreal! The amount of love and affection we've been receiving from our SK fans and cinema audience has been truly overwhelming. All because of one man!
