'Baba' re-release: Rajinikanth's fantasy film gets additional shows

Rajinikanth's fan following is a well-known fact, and the stylish actor will be celebrating his 72nd birthday on Dec 12. To make the day more special, the charismatic actor's 2002 Tamil film 'Baba' digitalized version is re-releasing on Dec 10 ahead of his birthday. Now, the latest report regarding 'Baba' re-release suggests that Rajinikanth's fantasy film has got additional shows.Rajinikanth's 20-year-old film has got occupied a great number of screens in Chennai and other locations. The film is set to open from early morning shows as fans are excited to revisit the memorable film of Rajinikanth.
The reservations for the film are super strong, while several shows for the film go sold out. This made the theatre owners add extra shows for 'Baba' and the film is set to add magical numbers to its box office after 20 years. 'Baba' is also releasing in the USA and multiple overseas locations and the craze for the film's release is real.
'Baba' was a box office failure in 2002 and the audience's difference of opinion about the film story lead the film to a failure path. However, the film is expected to gain a good number during the re-release and the makers have recently unveiled the new trailer of 'Baba'.
Directed by Suresh Krissna 'Baba' features Rajinikanth and Manisha Koirala in lead roles with Sujatha, M.N. Nambiar, Goundamani, Ashish Vidhyarthi, Amrish Puri, Vijayakumar, Delhi Ganesh, M.R.R. Vasu Vikram, Karunaas, Riyaz Khan, Sayaji Shinde, 'Crane'Manohar, Kitty, Sanghavi in pivotal roles. AR Rahman scored the music while the song lyrics were penned by Vaali and Vairamuthu.
