Bhagyaraj and Ponvannan come together for this film

Veteran actors Bhagyaraj and Ponvannan come together for the film, Ayyanar Veethi. The film directed by newcomers Gipsy N Rajkumar, revolves around friendship. ���When I first wrote the script, I knew that Bhagyaraj sir would be ideal to play one of the leads. Once I completed the script, I met him for narration. He liked it and in fact offered some valuable suggestions to the script.It was after meeting him that I developed the characters of the younger pair in the film,��� says Rajkumar, adding, ���Ponvannan sir, too, has essayed his role well. For fight sequences, he performed without a dupe.���
The film also stars Yuvan of Sattai fame, newbie Sara Shetty and Chinchu Mohan of Pulipaarvai fame in the lead. ���We have shot the film in Rajapalayam, my native. I wanted to do away from showing the regular city-based lifestyle. I wanted a place that still hasn���t lost its old charm. I chose this place because people there still hold on to their roots. We shot in the temples and even filmed a thiruvizha sequence. The natives helped me a lot while filming,��� he says, adding, ���A song carrying 108 names of Ayyanar will be one of the highlights of this film. Post-production work is on. We are hoping to release the film by the end of this year.���
