Goundamani sends a legal notice to the makers of Vaibhav's 'Sixer'
The legal representative of Tamil comedian Goundamani has served a legal notice to the team of Vaibhav's upcoming film
Sixer
, where Vaibhav plays a man with night blindness.
The usage of Goundamani's photograph in the film, and further a dialogue parodying Goundamani's character in 1991 film
Chinnathambi
(who also suffered from night blindness in the film) seem to be the main points of contention.

A recently released sneak peak from
Sixer

The notice blames the makers of the film for not seeking consent from Goundamni to use his photograph or dialogue from
Chinnathambi,
"Using our client's name, photograph and repeating his dialogue without his consent is nothing but infringement of personal right and liberty in addition to copyright," the notice reads.

The notice further asks the makers to delete the scene of contention from the film and also tender a public apology for having "misused" Goundamani's photo and dialogue in
Sixer.
The notice further threatens to initiate legal proceedings for defamation if the scene is not deleted from the film.
