Jayam Ravi's second film with director Ahmed titled 'Iraivan'

Actor Jayam Ravi celebrated his birthday on September 10 and many directors, actors, actresses, producers and fans wished the talented actor on social media. Interestingly, director Ahmed who is working with Jayam Ravi for his upcoming film ‘Jana Gana Mana’ officially announced his next with the actor and confirmed that the film is titled ‘Iraivan’.
Sharing a photo of him with actor Jayam Ravi, Ahmed wrote, “Two films and counting.#Iraivan soon.”. Conveying his birthday wishes to the actor, the director indirectly announced the films they are collaborating for. Earlier, it was speculated that the actor and director were working together for another movie apart from ‘Jana Gana Mana’ but it was left hanging as there was no official announcement regarding ‘Iraivan’.
The shooting for the film ‘Jana Gana Mana’ has been wrapped up but the release plans for the film are still under wraps. It is also unknown as to when the teaser and trailer of the film will be launched. ‘Jana Gana Mana’ features Jayam Ravi, Taapsee Pannu, Rahman, Arjun Sarja, Nana Patekar in lead roles. And it is also reportedly stated that ‘Iraivan’ features Nayanthara as the female lead and it was earlier said that the actress had completed shooting her parts of the film last month before she left for her vacation in Spain with Vignesh Shivan.
On the work front, Jayam Ravi will be seen on the bigger screens as ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ – the magnum opus of Mani Ratnam is scheduled for its release on September 30. He also has a few projects in the pipeline apart from ‘Jana Gana Mana’ and ‘Iraivan’ that include ‘Agilan’with director N Kalyanakrishnan, tentatively titled ‘JR 30’ with director Rajesh and ‘Siren’ with debutant Anthony Bhagyaraj.
