R. Madhavan has recently found himself at the centre of a surprising rumour regarding his involvement in Raghava Lawrence's upcoming film 'Benz', which is set to be part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). It was reported that Madhavan would be playing the antagonist in the film.

According to a report by Indiaglitz the actor had been roped to play the main villain of the film. However, Madhavan has taken to social media to deny these claims. In a light-hearted response, he expressed his surprise at the news, stating that he was completely unaware of any such development. He remarked, "Hey, this is news to me. As much as it sounds exciting and I would love to be part of a universe like this, I’m surprised by this news because I have no clue about this."
The film 'Benz', directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan and written by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is expected to be a significant addition to the LCU, which is known for its interconnected storytelling and cast. Lokesh has made three films as part of his cinematic universe so far - Kaithi, Vikram and Leo.

The film will feature Raghava Lawrence in the lead role, and there were high hopes that Madhavan's inclusion would elevate the project's profile even further.
