Sasikumar gets to romance Chitra

Chitra Shukla, who has acted in films like Rangula Raatnam and Maa Abbayi, has been roped in as the female lead in action thriller Na Na, which also stars Sarath Kumar. The film will see the return of Salim director NV Nirmal Kumar. “Chitra will be playing Sasikumar’s romantic interest. She appears as a dancer in the film,” says Nirmal Kumar, who adds that the Tollywood actress will join the team today in Hyderabad, where the new schedule of the film kick-starts.The team had earlier completed an 18-day schedule in Mumbai.
The director says, “The story begins in Chennai and moves to Mumbai. About 45 minutes of the film happens there. The second half is set in Chennai, with a flashback portion taking place in Theni.” The team has completed 50 per cent of the shoot.
Talking about the title, he says, “Sasikumar’s character in the film is Na Narayanan, and everyone calls him Na Na. So, we have gone with that as the title.”
Sarath Kumar plays a police officer in Mumbai, he informs, but is cagey about revealing Sasikumar’s character as it will spoil the suspense the story.
