Ace comedian Senthil is playing a lead in a rural satire directed by Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu director
Suresh Sangaiah. The team posted, "Shoot begins for the untitled film starring legendary actor #Senthil
directed by #orukidayinkarunaimanu fame #sureshsangaiah produced by @sameerbr @supertalkies."
Suresh Sangaiah had directed the critically-acclaimed Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu and has recently finished his second film Sathiya Sodhanai starring
Premgi Amaren.
Sameer Bharat Ram, who has also backed films such as Uriyadi, Panni Kutty, Kadaisi Vivasayi, and Mudhal Nee Mudivum Nee, is bankrolling the Senthil-starrer, too.
Senthil is well known in Tamil cinema for his comic roles, especially, the ones with Goundamani. The two have been known for some of Kollywood’s most iconic comic sequences and their comedy in Karakattakkaran around a plantain is still a hit with people. Though Goundamani has acted in some movies in lead roles, Senthil who has over 250 films to his credit has never donned the greasepaint to play the lead role. And, now with this untitled film by Suresh Sangaiah, he is becoming a hero and his fans are expressing their happiness and wish to the veteran.
