Thankar Bachan’s son to make his debut as a hero

Vijith Bachan, son of award-winning filmmaker Thankar Bachan, is the latest star kid in town. The youngster has already started shooting for his launch vehicle in Chennai.
A source says, “Vijith has always wanted to become an actor and had groomed himself to be one; he’s learnt dance as well. Both Vijith and his father, Thankar Bachan, have been listening to scripts for the last couple of years, but nothing impressed them.That’s when Vijith told his dad that he likes one of the scripts that he’d written long ago and would like to act in it. They revisited the story and Thankar decided to direct the film himself.”
Set in Chennai, the film is an action drama. The source adds, “Thankar Bachan is known for family-oriented films like Azhagi and Solla Marandha Kadhai. Most of his movies are set against a village backdrop. But this one will be different. Though it deals with family, it will trace the life of the character played by Vijith. He’s a middle-class boy who keeps a low profile, and has the habit of lying. Munishkanth also has an equally important role in the film. Shooting is on in the thickly populated Kannagi Nagar.”
While Milana and Ashwini will be playing the female leads, Dinesh Master, Mansoor Ali Khan and Stunt Silva are also part of the film, the music of which is being composed by Dharan.
