Actress Gouthami is Soumya’s Aunt

Not many people know that actress Soumya happens to be related to actress Gouthami, a leading actress of the nineties and actor Kamal Haasan’s partner. Apparently even Soumya did not know that Gouthami happened to be her until she turned 10.
That’s because the actress literally grew up on the high seas. Her dad worked as a marine engineer. And until Soumya was ten years old, she lived on the ship travelling the world with her dad.It was only after her family settled in Vishakapatnam did she discover her family connection with Gouthamai.
