Chetak Seenu: Shiva Kandukuri of ‘Choosi Choodangaane’ fame flags off his next

Son of ‘Pelli Choopulu’ producer Raj Kandukuri, Shiva Kandukuri made his debut as the protagonist with ‘Choosi Choodangaane’. Starring Varsha Bollamma and Malavika Satheesan as the leading ladies, the romantic drama directed by debutante Sesha Sindhu released in early 2020 and bagged decent reviews at the box-office. Though it was his maiden outing, Shiva delivered a matured performance as Siddhu and excelled in both his parts, as a B Tech student and a wedding photographer.
Gearing up for Sujana Rao’s anthology film ‘Gamanam’, Shiva has flagged off his next on the occasion of Christmas. Directed by Rajesh Nadendla of ‘Kathanam’ fame, the comedy thriller has been titled as ‘Chetak Seenu’ and the pooja ceremony took place at Hyderabad on Friday. While the regular shooting of the film will kick-off from February, details regarding the heroine and the supporting cast will be out shortly. Anup Rubens has been roped in to compose the music.

Meanwhile, in the first week of October, the first look poster of Shiva Kandukuri and Priyanka Jawalkar from ‘Gamanam’ has been unveiled. The actor is playing the role of Ali, an aspiring cricketer who dreams of making it big. Priyanka plays the role of Zara, a Muslim girl wearing traditional attire. The poster and trailer hints that their segment of the anthology is a romance. Besides the youngsters, the Illaiyaraaja musical stars Shriya Saran, Nithya Menen, Charuhasan and Suhas in pivotal roles.
