Kollywood has found a new baddie in Gautam Kurup, who after a 20-year service in production work and behind-the-camera tasks faces the camera in Tamil cinema, with two films ��������� Sharada Ramanathan���������s Pudiya Tiruppangal and A R Murugadoss��������� Thuppaki.

Gautam Kurup, post films like Murdering Innocence (Hindi) and Kandahar (Malayalam), is happy to be working in two Tamil films and says the language has never been a barrier for him. He explains how. ���������Being a Chennai born Mallu who did initial schooling in Bangalore and later completed in Mumbai, Tamil was part of my growing years in between lost touch but have just rediscovered it back.
It does make a great difference when you to know the language while acting. As an actor I believe if I can deliver then language is not a barrier. As of now its Chennai calling.��������� One trivia associated with this actor is that his son was part of a song in Vaaranam Aayiram, the Yethi Yethi song. But will he continue his work behind-the camera as line producer as well? ���������That would still continue, only time will tell,��������� he says and signs off.
