Nandamuri Balakrishna’s son Mokshagna Nandamuri is set to make his debut in Tollywood with an upcoming film directed by
Prasanth Varma. Recently, there was speculation about the project being shelved. However, the film’s producers have come forward with a statement to clear the air.
The producers shared an office note on X (formerly Twitter) and urged the public to stop spreading unfounded rumours. “AN IMPORTANT ALERT about @PrasanthVarma - @MokshNandamuri Project. The team pleads with the public to stop spreading fake news. All official information will come through official channels only.”

The statement read, "We wish to address the recent speculations surrounding our project with
Prasanth Varma & Moksh Nandamuri. There have been baseless rumours circulating regarding the project. We assure you they are not true.” The producers further emphasised that all official updates will be shared solely through their official social media platforms, asking, “Until then, we kindly request the public and media to refrain from sharing or promoting unverified information. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.”
The project, which had been scheduled to begin with a pooja ceremony a few weeks ago, triggered rumours of being shelved when the event didn’t take place. Since then, speculation has run rampant, ranging from Prasanth's alleged compensation issues to Mokshagna’s supposed reluctance to act, as well as unconfirmed reports suggesting that
Nag Ashwin might replace Prasanth as the director.
Earlier, in an interview with Hindustan Times, director Prasanth discussed his decision to take on an upcoming film project, highlighting the personal relationship he shares with actor Balakrishna. He explained that it was more of a personal commitment than a professional one, although he is enthusiastic about the exciting story. The film is still in the pre-production phase, with Mokshagna preparing for his role, which will be revealed shortly.
