The much-awaited
Jr NTR,
Nivetha Thomas and
Raashi Khanna starrer ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ releases on September 21 amid high expectations.
The movie that will see Jr NTR essay the role of triplets – Jai, Lava and Kusa, is directed by KS Ravindra and produced by NTR’s brother Kalyan Ram. The film has music composed by the energetic Devi Sri Prasad and is expected to be one of the best entertainers of 2017.
While the promotions for ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ kicked up a storm, with the film’s posters revealing the characters of Jai, Lava and Kusa one by one, with Jr NTR donning three different looks and mannerisms for each, the teasers doing the same have made Jai the most loved of them all.
While Jr NTR’s fans will have enough reasons to watch the film, we give you five reasons why you should catch this movie:
Jr NTR’s portrayal of the three titular charactersThis is the first time Jr NTR will be essaying triple roles in a film. The actor who has more than proved his mettle with films like ‘Janatha Garage’ will be seen portraying three versatile roles and it remains to be seen how seamless the transition from one character to another would be. In fact, the actor put in so much hard work that he had to go through as many as 70 costume changes to play the roles. Jr NTR stated that his grandfather NT
Rama Rao’s performance in ‘Daana Veera Soora Karna’ was his inspiration for ‘Jai Lava Kusa’.
The character of Jai is the most intriguing characterWhile the filmmakers have brought up expectations during the character reveal of Jai and with the actor himself calling Jai his most favourite character of the three, it would be interesting to see the nuances of the character on the large screen too. Be it the outfits, the powerful dialogues despite the stutter, the body language or the fascination of the character with Ravana, it would be interesting to see a character like Jai on-screen. Jr NTR even revealed that the character of Jai was so intense, that it took a toll on him emotionally and physically and that it took a lot for the actor to get out of the character of Jai.
The family connect and the relatable factorWith all said and done movies work when there’s something that the audience can connect with and relate to. The main theme of ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ is said to be the emotional drama revolving around the triplets. The movie charts the journey of how they were together during childhood and yet remain at various phases of their life, and even at conflict with each other now. It will be interesting to see Jr NTR essay the roles of a gangster, software professional and a thief in the same film.
Tamannaah in ‘Swing Zara’ and Jr NTR’s dance skillsThe fact that Tamannaah is featuring in a special song called ‘Swing Zara’ was received with as much enthusiasm as the fact that Jr NTR will obviously be seen showing off his kickass dance moves in the film. While people were already enthusiastic, thanks to the promotions of the film, the promo video of the song ‘Swing Zara’ promised a visual treat and fans have been doubly enthused since then. The track has already become a hit with the audience, almost as much as everyone’s favourite track ‘Raavana’. Tamannaah has already proved herself as a dancer in her previous films, so the audience look forward to her showing off her moves in the special song.
Rocking Devi Sri Prasad’s music While Devi Sri Prasad is already one of the most sought after composers in the Telugu film industry, his music for ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ seems to have warmed him to the audience more. The soundtrack of the film, with songs composed for each of the characters has already proved to be a hit, with fans loving the ‘Asura Asura’ theme of it all. Even ‘Swing Zara’ has been received well and it remains to be seen how well the tracks translate on-screen.
