At a promotional event of Sarkaru Vaari Paata in Kurnool recently,
Mahesh Babu did something he had never done before at a film event. Midway through the event, the Superstar broke into an impromptu jig and danced to the song Ma Ma Mahesha on stage as the venue erupted with claps, hoots and whistles from the fans.
The makers of the film say that Mahesh’s impromptu jig sums up the elation of the team at the way the film has been received at the BO.
“We worked through the pandemic and waited a long time to release this film. To see the audience shower the film with love has been overwhelming. We’re overjoyed to see our efforts translate into box-office numbers and, like Mahesh Babu, we all feel like dancing with joy,” says Naveen Yerneni, producer of the film.
Agreeing, producer Ravi Shankar says, “The Kurnool event was a massive success and looking at the way the crowds thronged the event, it seems Mahesh Babu mania has gripped the box office. The film is into its second week and still doing very well. The distributors are also extremely happy with its success.” A healthy dose of humour, romance and high-octane action sequences are drawing the audience to the theatres again, reckon the producers. “Mahesh Babu’s characterisation has resonated with the audience. People are loving the humour, music and action sequences in the film. People have also related to the social message that the film carries,” says Naveen. Ravi Shankar adds, “Our film has resonated with audiences of all age groups. We’re glad to bring family audiences back to the theatres this summer.”
Sarkaru Vaari Paata is produced by Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar, Gopi Achanta, Ram Achanta under Mythri Movie Makers, GMB Entertainment & 14 Reels Plus.
