'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' has made a grand comeback to theaters. This family entertainer, starring Mahesh Babu, Venkatesh, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Anjali, was re-released on March 7, 2025, following immense public demand.
A recent video from a theatrical screening has gone viral, which shows a female fan dancing enthusiastically to the song 'Aaraduguluntada' featuring Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Samantha herself shared the video on her Instagram handle, expressing her delight at the fan's gesture.
On her Instagram story, she wrote, "Happy Women’s Day to me. Made my day!! #seethammavakitlosirimallechettu."

Directed by Srikanth Addala, 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' is a heartwarming family drama that explores the lives of two brothers, Peddodu and Chinnodu, who have contrasting personalities. The story is set in the village of Relangi, where their father, Relangi Mavayya, is a kind-hearted man who values human relationships and kindness over material wealth. The story takes a turn when conflicts arise between the brothers due to misunderstandings and ego clashes.
According to a Koimoi report, the re-release has been a resounding success, with impressive advance bookings crossing Rs 2 crore globally. In Hyderabad alone, ticket sales reached Rs 75 lakhs, while other regions of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana contributed significantly to the total, exceeding Rs 1.8 crore.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu was last seen in the web series 'Citadel: Honey Bunny', which is an Indian spin-off of the global spy thriller 'Citadel'. Co-starring Varun Dhawan, this series marked Samantha's second collaboration with the acclaimed director duo Raj & DK, known for their work on 'The Family Man'. The show is a spy action and a heartwarming love story set in the 1990s.
Looking ahead, she will star in the action fantasy series 'Rakt Brahmand', directed by Rahi Anil Barve. This series also features Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal, and Wamiqa Gabbi. She will also make her production debut with the film 'Maa Inti Bangaram', an action thriller where she plays a fierce character.
