Red carpet shenanigans; high octane performances; filmi bonhomie; awards and accolades ��� the fourth edition of Micromax SIIMA 2015, a filmi extravaganza which brings together the best talent from Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada film industries on a single platform, saw all this and more.
The first evening of the two-day affair held in Dubai���s World Trade Centre was dedicated to Telugu and Kannada cinema.
Popular Tollywood comedian Ali, who played host for the evening along with actress Sree Mukhi, ensured the audience were in splits throughout with his brand of slapstick humour. Adding a dose of glam and entertainment to the awards ceremony were the dancing queens of Tollywood ��� Pranitha Subhash, Pooja Hegde, Shriya Saran and Adah Sharma. While Shriya���s sexy belly dance moves left the audience asking for more, Adah wowed everybody with her acrobatics, complete with splits, somersaults and cartwheels.
The evening filled with fun and gags took a sombre turn, as SIIMA decided to honour the memory of Movie Moghul Dr D Ramanaidu, and paid tribute to him with a moving short film on his life and work.
Day 2 had an even more exciting start, as Malayalam and Tamil cinema lovers from across UAE thronged the venue in hordes. And the biggies from both industries didn���t disappoint. Whether it was Mohanlal, who was in his element through the evening or Dhanush, who won not just multiple awards, but also lots of hearts ��� star power was at an all time high. Funny man Shiva, who co-hosted the show along with the vivacious Suchitra, added to the charm of the night with his gags, pranks and wisecracks.

Sonu Sood were the special guests from Bollywood who cheered on while the best actors and directors from Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam walked away with top awards. Veterans, actress KPAC Lalitha and director P Bharathiraja were honoured with Lifetime Achievement Awards.
