Hyderabad drugs case: Suresh Babu’s ‘courier’ attracts excise sleuths to Ramanaidu Studio

As government officials continue to tighten the screws around Tollywood stars for involvement in the recent drug bust, the sleuths of state Excise Department paid a visit to Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

It was reported that the reason for the visit was to check on the contents of a parcel that was couriered to the studio’s address from abroad and was delivered on Tuesday.
The visit by excise officials to the Daggubati family-owned studio however has set tongues wagging yet again.
Speaking to Hyderabad Times, Suresh Babu Daggubati clarified that he has cooperated with the excise officials and have shown them the contents of the parcel apprising them about its content. “I had ordered this equipment which is a back rest for my seat. That’s all there is to it. The officials came, checked the parcel and left. It’s a frivolous issue really,” said Suresh Babu.
