Vijay Deverakonda may replace Nagarjuna as Bigg Boss Telugu host; reports

The popular reality show Bigg Boss Telugu has a huge fan following with its ninth season coming soon. After hosting the show for seven successful seasons, Nagarjuna Akkineni may step down, with discussions underway to bring in a fresh face. According to reports, actor Vijay Deverakonda is being considered as the new host.
As per a report by Siasat, the makers of Bigg Boss Telugu are exploring options to revamp the show with a younger and more dynamic personality. Vijay Deverakonda, known for his massive appeal among younger audiences, seems to be the frontrunner for the hosting role. While no official confirmation has been made yet, sources suggest that discussions are in advanced stages. If finalized, this would mark Vijay's debut as a television host.
Nagarjuna hosted Bigg Boss Telugu since its third season but has not yet announced his decision to exit. The show initially debuted in 2017 with Jr NTR as the host for Season 1, followed by Nani in Season 2. Nagarjuna took over from Season 3 and brought his unique charm and energy to the role, making him a fan favourite.

Known for his bold performances in films like 'Arjun Reddy' and 'Geetha Govindam', Vijay has great popularity across multiple industries and languages.
Vijay Deverakonda on the work front, is currently gearing up for the release of 'Kingdom', a period drama directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, set to hit theatres on May 30, 2025.
He will also work with director Ravi Kiran Kola on the film, 'Rowdy Janardhana' and another project which will be directed by Rahul Sankrityan tentatively titled, 'VD14'.
