The upcoming mythological drama film 'Kannappa', starring Vishnu Manchu, which was originally slated for release on April 25, 2025, has officially locked its new release date. The announcement was made during a special meeting with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister
Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow, where the film’s team unveiled a striking poster and shared glimpses of its grand production.
The new release date of the film is set for June 27, 2025. The film is postponed to ensure perfection in its post-production.
Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh the film is inspired by the legend of Bhakta Kannappa, a devoted follower of Lord Shiva. The story follows Kannappa, an atheist hunter who transforms into a fervent devotee of
Shiva, culminating in an ultimate act of devotion where he sacrifices his own eyes to honor the deity. Vishnu Manchu plays the titular role of Kannappa.
