It does not cost anything to be a kind human. All you need to do is to lend an ear to someone who listens, or do an act of kindness to someone in need. Not only that, if you have the resources to do something good for someone, do it with all your heart.
Last year, a heartwarming video went viral on social media. In the same, a street vendor, who also appears to be specially abled, is posing and clicking selfies with a swanky yellow Porsche parked on the street. As soon as the owner spots him, he starts running away, thinking he will be told off anway. However, to his surprise, the owner, a young boy, invites him to sit in his car, and even helps him do so. He then clicks some photos of him, before the duo speed off for a luxury ride. The man could not contain his excitement and was clapping throughout the ride. At one point, both the man and the owner of the car got emotional, and were seen wiping tears. The man then dropped him back, and clicked more pictures.
Later, it was revealed that the video was originally shared by content creator Ravi Kumar, as part of his 365 days challenge, where he does one good thing for someone everyday.
Recently,
Anand Mahindra shared the video with the caption, "This video is, I believe, over a year old. I saw it only recently and couldn’t help being greatly moved. First, thank you to the car’s owner for his generosity of spirit and empathy. And I have to say, as a car manufacturer, it is good to be reminded of the uninhibited joy and delight cars can provide to people. That is how I hope our designers and engineers at Mahindra - both current and future - will always approach the creative process: by keeping in mind that cars are more than just devices of transportation. When designed with passion, they can deliver joy to all who experience them.”
When someone pointed out that the video looks scripted, Mahindra said, “Perhaps. But I’m focusing on the message, not the motive. We all know there is enough content out there on social media where neither the motive nor the message is fit for consumption.”
