MUMBAI: Film-historian and senior journalist Bunny Reuben passed away in Mumbai on Thursday evening. He was 81. He is survived by his wife and two daughters. Reuben's son-in-law George Gopali told TOI, "He was not keeping well for a long time. This morning he complained of breathlessness and we rushed him to the hospital. But he suffered two massive heart attacks in the evening. He passed away at 8.45 pm." Reuben was the first film-journalist who crossed over and turned a publicist in the early '70s, handling work for actors Raj Kapoor, Mehboob Khan, Dev Anand and Dilip Kumar. Actor Randhir Kapoor, son of Raj Kapoor, said, "It is a great loss to the RK family and the film industry. He was not only a good journalist and publicist, he was a great film historian." Reuben started his career as a film-journalist in the 1940s and worked with several publications, including 'Filmfare'. He was also founder editor of a film magazine. He had many books to his credit which included biographies of actors Pran, Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor and Mehboob Khan.
