Union minister Kiren Rijiju said "Jai Hind" on social media shortly after India launched Operation Sindoor, a military action targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoK).

The union minister shared a post on X with hashtags, #OperationSindoor and #JaiHind.
The operation was launched in retaliation to Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26. Indian military forces launched strikes at nine sites in Pakistan calling it "focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature."
"Justice is Served. Jai Hind!' the Indian Army said in a post on X.
"A little while ago, the Indian Armed Forces launched 'OPERATION SINDOOR', hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed," the ministry of defence said in a statement.

"Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted. India has demonstrated considerable restraint in selection of targets and method of execution," it added.
