Everything you want to know about Rishad Premji, Wipro’s next chief!

Founder, chairman, and managing director of Wipro, Azim Premji will step down on July 30th and the world will have its eyes on the next chief Rishad Premji. Rishad Premji, the eldest son of Azim Premji, is the Chief Strategy Officer and will be proceeding as the Executive Chairman from July 31st.
Here are a few facts about the man in the spotlight you would want to know:
1. He joined Wipro in the year 2007 and has been instrumental in shaping Wipro’s strategy.
2.Before Wipro, Rishad was working with Bain & Company in London, working on Consumer Products, Automobiles, Telecom and Insurance.
3. He is a Harvard Business School graduate and has a BA in Economics degree from Wesleyan University in the US.
4. He was also at the London School of Economics for a year.
5. Rishad spearheaded the integration of Citi Technology Services following Wipro’s acquisition of the Citibank captive in the application and infrastructure space.
6. He is married and lives in Bangalore.
7. He loves rock music and loves Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton’s music.
