My mindset is to get a wicket from the very first ball. I was varying my pace against Ajju bhai so that he has to put some effort in going big against me.

"My thoughts, it's hard to describe in words. The ball was turning. I told Yuzi to turn the ball. We needed to be attacking. Thankfully, right players were there at the right place. It's tough to talk. Such victories benefit you in the end.

Obviously, when I walked out to bat, one stayed low and one hit the bottom. The other players who were good at sweeping were finding it hard. There was variable bounce. We got to a decent total. The wicket was variable and the bounce wasn't consistent. We had that at the back of our mind and we asked the bowlers to keep the stumps in play.

Two wickets in two overs, it gave us that momentum. The later batters came in and took the momentum towards them. When we saw Yuzi come in and spin the ball, we believed. I wanted to keep the attacking fields and ask the batters to play risky shots.

It's important for us to stay humble and not get. This win will create a lot of boost. We will look to get confidence from this win and to put in a better performance next time."

"The heartrate is still up to be honest. I don't want to be a part of these games at this age. Just shows how funny this format is. We couldn't defend 246 three days ago and here we are, defending 112 with 16 runs up our sleeve.

I told the boys at the halfway stage that these small scores are the hardest to chase. The wicket wasn't easy. It was definitely holding up. What about Chahal. Simply outstanding. He had a fitness test before this game, with a shoulder injury he picked up in the previous game. I had a chat with him and he told me, 'coach, I am absolutely fine'.

Even if we ended up losing this game, I wouldn't have been disheartened as the boys did a remarkable job in making a comeback in the 2nd innings. Our batting was very poor. Decision making was not there at all. We were lacking wickets in the powerplay and everything was there tonight. I would've been telling the guys, that one was a season defining moment.

"Nothing to express. We all saw what happened there. I will take the blame as the captain of the team. I played the wrong shot, it was missing but still I will take the blame.

He was not pretty sure, he said probably it could be umpire's call. I wasn't sure as well and that was the discussion.

Till when I was batting there, we were thinking about 2 points. Wicket was not that easy, 111 was still chaseable. We batted really badly. The bowlers did really well on the surface to restrict a strong Punjab batting line-up for 111.

As an individual you need to be confident. When we were batting, sweep was very hard to play. Let the ball come and then take your chances. Play cricketing shots and keep that intent going. We were a bit reckless and we need to take full responsibility as a batting unit.

Too many things going in my head. It's too early. It was an easy chase for us. When I go upstairs I will try to keep myself really calm and then I will see what to talk to the boys. Half of the tournament is still remaining. We need to be positive and play good brand of cricket. At the same time I would like to address the stuff and move forward."

"(Things to like about T20s) Nice and short I guess. Most important things. Short and quick games are the most important things that most people would say or I would say. But no, it's just the vibe it brings. Obviously, fans love it. Lots of runs and wickets. I mean I pretty much try to run around and have fun. That's all I guess.

It's been very chilled to be honest. I know a lot of the guys here. Obviously, played against them and with them over the years. It's easy for my transition to a new team here in KKR. They have accepted me and it's quite easy and awesome here.

(Game day routine) I guess there are changes, depending on the time I wake up. Today, I woke up a later than usual. Don't know why. It just happened. Go to the gym. Get the body nice and loose. Eat something and chill. If I could, I could just chill but my older one and my family is here. So, have to give time for that. Try to keep them busy and from then, just team meetings and bus and over here. There's nothing to it."
