SRH vs GT Highlights, IPL 2025: Gill, Siraj lead Titans' 7-wicket win over Sunrisers

Shubman Gill's masterclass (61* off 43 balls) and Mohammed Siraj's brilliant spell (4/17) led Gujarat Titans' impressive seven-wicket win over Surisers Hyderabad. After restricting SRH to 152/8, GT counter-attacked from 16/2, thanks to Washington Sundar's 49 off 29 balls and his 90-run partnership with Gill, while the impact sub Sherfane Rutherford smoked unbeaten 35 off just 16 balls to take the visitors home with 3.2 overs to spare.

The GT skipper Gill (60* off 42 balls) dominates spinner Zeeshan as he smacks back-to-back fours to take his side closer to a comfortable win. GT 141/3 in 16 overs.

Sherfane Rutherford (22* off 11) , coming in as the 'impact player', sends Abhishek Sharma to the cleaners, hitting the part-timer for 4 fours in the over that leaked 18 runs. GT 130/3 in 15 overs.

Mohammed Shami finishes an impressive spell with figures of 2/28. But, barring Cummins, none of the other SRH bowlers have been able to contain the runs. GT 112/3 in 14 overs.

Washington Sundar dismissed for 49 off 29 balls, thanks to brilliant low catch running in from the boundary by Aniket Verma. Shami gets his second wicket. End of 90-run partnership. GT 106/3 in 13.1 overs, need 47 to win off 41 balls.

The Gujarat Titans seem to be on auto-pilot as the run-chase reaches the 100 mark off 12.3 overs, courtesy a boundary for Shubman Gill who also raises his half-century off 36 balls. GT 106/2 in 13 overs, need 47 to win off 42 balls.

Gill (43*), Washington (41*) approach half-centuries while SRH bowlers continue to struggle after the opening burst of their pace duo of Shami and Cummins.

GT's chase of 153 to win touches halfway mark, and looking good at 82/2 in 10 overs. Washington 40*, Gill 36*.

Brilliant counter-attack by Gill (34* off 25 balls) and Washington (36* off 17 balls) after Shami and Cummins struck early to give SRH a brilliant start defending their 152/8. The GT duo brings up a fifty stand after coming together at 16/2. GT 76/2 in 9 overs.

Washington (29* off 11 balls) continues to go big, sends Unadkat to the fence for a four. Gill batting on 21. GT 56/2 in 7 overs.

First bowling change by SRH in the form of medium-pacer Simarjeet Singh and Washington Sundar (23*) pulls him back-to-back to collect two fours, followed by a shovel to hit a huge six over fine-leg fence. And ends it with another six. 20 run coming off the sixth and last Powerplay over. GT 48/2.

The Gujarat skipper Gill (19*) picks Shami from the middle-and-leg stump to go aerial over mid-wicket for a four and follows it up with a flick in front of square for another four. GT 28/2 in 5 overs.

SRH couldn't have asked for more from their two fast bowlers,Cummins and Shami, as the Australian joins in the fun to induce an edge fom the in-former Jos Buttler, dismissing him for a three-ball duck. GT 16/2 in 3.5 overs, chasing 153 to win.

Shami strikes! Sai Sudharsan (5) is sent back by the veteran Indian pacer, caught by Aniket Verma. That was the start Cummins and SRH wanted while defending 152/8.

SRH captain Pat Cummins begins with an equally impressive over from the other end to limit Gill and Sudharsan to three singles, other than a wide. GT 8/0 in 2 overs.

The veteran generates some notable swing and has the batters guessing, while giving away just four runs in the over. GT 4/0 in 1 over.

Sai Sudharsan and captain Shubman Gill out to open for GT, while Mohammed Shami runs in with the new ball to chase SRH's 152/8.

The SRH captain Cummins (22 not out off 9 ball) hits India veteran Ishant Sharma (0/53) for a four and a six in the final over and Mohammed Shami (6*) joins in with a four wide of cover fielder as the hosts finish with 17 runs in the last over to post a competitive total on a wicket not easy to score on. But the star of the evening remains Mohammed Siraj, who continues to impress and returned with a four-wicket haul. But can't take anything away from Sai Kishore (2/24), who got the all-important wickets of Klaaasen (27) and Reddy (31) just when they started looking dangerous.

Bowling the 19th over of SRH innings, the star Indian pacer gets his third wicket in the form of Aniket (18) -- dismissed lbw and then makes it four off the last ball of his spell, knocking over Simarjeet Singh for a duck. Brilliant figures of 4/17! Absolute fire! SRH 135/8 in 19 overs.

SRH skipper Pat Cummins (10*) seems to be providing the last-over flourish, hits Ishant for two fours in a 12-run 17th over to take the total to 132/6 with 12 deliveries remaining in the innings.

Aniket Verma (14*) gets much needed relief for SRH fans as he hits two fours in the over, but Prasidh Krishna ends his spell with another wicket, getting Kamindu Mendis (1). SRH 120/6 in 17 overs. Prasidh complets his four overs with impressive figures of 2/25.

The well-set batter, Nitish Reddy, departs for 31, caught by Rashid in the deep as Sai Kishore gets his second wicket. SRH 105/5 in 15.1 overs.

Sai Kishore has his man! Dismisses Klaasen (27), who had started looking dangerous! Cleans him up. Meanwhile, hundred comes up for SRH. They are 101/4 in 14 overs.

A striaght four off Sai Kishore and a double brings up the fifty-run stand between Klaasen and Reddy off 38 balls.

The South African star Klaasen (21*) brings out the big shots he's known for, recognising the need to get going to put pressure back on GT. He first hit Rashid siaght back for a FOUR, followed by a SIX. Rashid complets his four-over spell with figures of 0/31. SRH 89/3 in 13 overs.

The all-rounder Reddy (20*) gets a move on, hitting Rashid for two fours in the over to bring some cheer for the home crowd. SRH 73/3 in 11 overs.

SRH have reached 64/3 in 10 overs on a slow Hyderabad track. Klaasen (8*) and Reddy (11*) on the crease for Gujarat.

After leg-spinner Rashid, it's time the left-am orthodox of Sai Kishore, as GT skipper Shubman Gill brings spin from both ends.

Heinrich Klaasen (5*) has joined Nitish Reddy (8*) after Ishan Kishan's dismissal, and the duo needs to rebuild for a while before they can get going. It's 58/3 in 9 overs, and clearly this is not the typical Hyderbad wicket. It's a lot slower and runs coming at a premium.

Prasidh gets among the wickets! He sends Ishan Kishan (17) walking back, as his attempted pull shot is caught in the deep by Ishant Sharma. SRH 50/3 in 7.2 overs.

After bowling three overs with fantastic figures of 2/14, Siraj has been replaced by leg-spinner Rashid Khan. End of powerplay as well as Prasidh ends his first over. SRH 45/2 in 6 overs.

The New Zealander, who is a fantastic fielder and catcher, is down on the ground, immediately after going for the throw. That's not looking good. SRH 42/2 in 5.4 overs.

While Nitish Reddy joined Ishan Kishan in the middle at the fall of Abhishek's wicket, Prasidh Krishna replaces Ishant Sharma as the first change in bowling for SRH.

Siraj rewarded for his immaculate line and length, as he has Abhishek (18) caught at mid-on for his second wicket, which also brings up his 100th wicket in the IPL. SRH 38/2 in 4.4 overs.

First four for Ishan Kishan (11*) as he gets room outside off to free his arm and lifts the senior pacer over the covers and follows it up with a neat guide to the vacant third-man fence for another four. And Abhishek (18*) makes it 13 runs off the over as he smashes the last ball in the V through mid-on for another four. SRH 37/1 in 4 overs.

Veteran Ishant Sharma runs in from the other end, and Abhishek (10*) greets his senior with consecutive fours to get his boundary-count going. Ishan Kishan has joined him to replace Head. SRH 20/1 after 2 overs.

Siraj, after conceding two boundaries to Head (8), gets the dangerous Australian, who tries to flick him but fails to keep the ball down and is caught at short mid-wicket by Sai Sudharsan. SRH 9/1 after 1 over.

A lucky under-cut from Head, 'keeper Jos Buttler gets a glove to it, but the ball still had enough legs on it to run away past the boundary ropes behind him.

Gujarat Titans' captain Shubman Gill wins the toss and decides to bowl first.

The average first-innings total at the Hyderabad stadium is 213 and the first match of this season here saw SRH posting a massive 286 runs against Rajasthan Royals. That leaves little to doubt that the track is full of runs for the majority of the 40 overs, which could see the team winning the toss opting to field first, which has been the trend at the venue.

The toss at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad is scheduled for 7 pm IST as the visitors, Gujarat Titans, eyeing a big win that can take them to the top of the leaderboard.

Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler have been the go-to batters for Gujarat Titans in their three matches so far, with the trio amassing an impressive 437 runs. The Sunrisers have the firepower in their ranks to match that but are yet to replicate their success in last season, which saw the likes of Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen deflating opposition attacks. They have the added firepower in the form of Ishan Kishan this time to deliver the goods.
