Fortnite has taken another nostalgic leap with the release of OG Chapter 1 Season 3. Inspired by the original Season 3 from 2018, this update combines fan-favorite classics with refreshing content to keep players on their toes. From high-octane weapons to the iconic 50v50 mode, here's everything you need to know.
The Event That Started It All - Fortnite OG Season 3 Launches March 25

Return of the 50v50 mode

The standout feature of this season is the long-awaited return of the 50v50 Limited Time Mode (LTM). Originally introduced in 2017, this chaotic mode puts two teams of 50 players against each other in massive, fast-paced battles. It’s a celebration of the early Fortnite days and is available to play until April 14, 6:00 AM PT.
Players can expect intense encounters, enormous builds, and some of the most epic team clashes Fortnite has to offer.

Lucky landing & meteor Tease

While the island map remains largely similar to Season 2, Lucky Landing, a fan-favorite Point of Interest (POI), has made a return. Known for its excellent loot and close-range encounters, this location promises action from the moment you land.
Adding mystery to the mix, a meteor has appeared in the sky—just as it did in the original Chapter 1 Season 3. Players can expect it to come closer as the season progresses, potentially leading to significant storyline developments.

New and returning weapons

Several classic weapons have returned, and a few new ones have been added to the loot pool:
  • Guided Missile (Live Now): Remotely control a rocket for pinpoint explosive damage.
  • Hand Cannon, Hunting Rifle, Remote Explosives, Heavy Shotgun, Port-A-Fort, Light Machine Gun, and Clingers.

These come alongside returning weapons like the Pump Shotgun, Crossbow, Boogie Bomb, and more from Season 2. Vending machines and supply llamas are also active, with Zero Build mode allowing material collection for use at vending points.
Fortnite has also launched a brand-new OG Pass with 45 tiers of nostalgic rewards. Players can unlock reimagined versions of classic outfits like Power Punk, Sir Raven, and Mecha R3X. The pass is available for 1,000 V-Bucks or through the Fortnite Crew subscription.
Accessories like the Rebel Pickaxe, Fowl Mantle Back Bling, and Horizon Rider Glider add extra flair to your locker. With more XP, alt styles become available too.
Whether you’re in it for nostalgia or looking for high-flying action, Chapter 1 Season 3 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting returns to Fortnite's roots yet.
