Peni Parker Arachno-Mines nerf in Marvel Rivals was recognized as a bug and fixed

NetEase Games has acknowledged that the apparent ‘Peni Parker's Perdu Predicament’ fix in the Marvel Rivals March 13 update is not functioning as intended but is a bug that they are working to fix. Earlier in the Season, the developers targeted a Peni Parker exploit that made her Arachno-Mines remain invisible even outside the Cyber-Webs. This made her kit extremely overpowered as enemies couldn’t spot these mines no matter what.
On March 13, NetEase Games rolled out an update that addressed this issue. The official fix stated the following:
“Peni Parker's Perdu Predicament: Fixed an issue where Peni's Arachno-Mines would become invisible when brushing over Cyber-Webs but landing outside of them. Now, her traps beyond webs remain visible, ensuring enemies are aware of the sticky situation!”
However, the adjustments seem to have been over-corrected and resulted in an unintended behaviour of the Arachno-Mines making it completely useless. NetEase games has since released a statement on their Discord server saying that they are working a fix for the same.



After the Marve Rivals March 13 update, Peni Parker’s Arachno Mines could be attacked and destroyed during its burrowing and explosive phases. Enemies could easily destroy these mines while entering the Cyber-Web. This is a massive nerf to her ability to deal damage and has massively impacted her gameplay experience. The community to Reddit and Discord to address the unplayability of Peni Parker with some players even commenting, that it has pushed her down to F-tier.



NetEase Games seems to be listening to the community as one of the developers recently posted on Discord addressing this issue. They confirmed this massive nerf to Peni Parker was unintentional and being recognized as a bug. Here's what they said:
“We’ve been following the discussions in the community about Peni Parker, specifically regarding her Arachno-Mines. It seems that even when entering her Cyber-Web, the mines can still be attacked and destroyed during their burrowing and explosive phases, which is definitely impacting her gameplay experience. We recognize this as a bug.
“The correct behavior should be that once the Arachno-Mines are within her Cyber-Web, they remain invulnerable and cannot be destroyed. Outside her Cyber-Web, they should be destructible as normal.
“We’ve pinpointed the issue and are actively working on a fix. As soon as we have an update, we'll make sure to keep you all in the loop! Thanks for your understanding and support!
With this announcement of an upcoming fix, all the Peni Parker mains in Marvel Rivals can rejoice as it's only a matter of time until she gets a fix and becomes playable again.


NetEase Games has made an announcement on their Discord channel stating that they have fixed the bug with Peni Parker's Arachno-Mines. Here's what they said:
"We’ve fixed the bug with Peni Parker’s Arachno-Mines! They’re back to their normal behavior: invulnerable and undestroyable while within her Cyber-web, and destructible outside of it."
