It seems Red Bull has finally decided to pull the plug on the issues concerning the RB21. The Red Bull has been dealing with multiple recurring issues, balance and tyre issues to be particular, and Max Verstappen has been voiced his concerns around the same ever since the start of the season. According to a latest report, the team has worked out the shortcomings and aim to fix it in a three-step process with the first improvement to be implemented in Jeddah.

Red Bull to introduce improvements in RB21 at Jeddah

After a troubled start followed by his much-awaited win at the Japanese Grand Prix, Max once again looked troubled in Bahrain and said that his 6th position was the best he could get out of the car. Now Racingnews365.com's technical analyst, Paolo Filisetti, has explained the improvements Red Bull is making in the current F1 car.
According to Filisetti’s report, the sources close to the team have revealed that an upgrade package is to be introduced for the RB21 at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. One of the visible changes will cater to the high-speed demands of the Jeddah circuit—such as adjustments to wing levels.

The primary focus is on the car's underfloor aerodynamics. Red Bull plans to modify the central section of the floor to alter how pressure is managed beneath the car and shift the aerodynamic center of pressure further toward the rear. The internal mechanical layout within the sidepods is also to be revised to streamline fluid dynamics and subtly tweak weight distribution within the prescribed limit. The developmental steps are said to be introduced fully by the Emilia-Romagna Prix on May 18.

The good news comes before the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix where Red Bull has won three out of four races. The venue was introduced in 2021 with Lewis Hamilton winning for Mercedes. Red Bull driver Sergio Perez won in 2022 followed by Max Verstappen lifting the winner’s trophy for the team for the last two years. If the updates fall in place, it can be a major boost for Verstappen’s dwindling confidence in the car, and lay the foundation for the driver’s hat-trick at Jeddah.
