Pete Alonso would be looking forward to improving his performance in the upcoming regular season, as all eyes will be on him, following his controversial New York Mets return. Interestingly, Alonso plans on giving his best to the season, and recently talked about the things that he plans on improving for the 2025 MLB season.

Pete Alonso talked about strategy for boosting performance in 2025

On Saturday, the New York Post released an exclusive interview with Pete Alonso, during which he talked about his approach to improving his performance. Alonso highlighted that he plans on giving extra attention to throwing, considering it has been his weak spot. Talking about his plans to improve throwing skills, Alonso said:
“Realistically, the easy thing is to look at everything from last year, and footwork was good, glovework was good for the most part. But honestly, I think that my throws, whether it’s forcing something that is not there or forcing the great play to happen, where probably it’s like a high-risk play, let’s take the ball instead of trying to force something.”
Pete Alonso's statement came almost a week after he opened up about his $54 Million signing with the Mets. The first baseman ditched a $71 Million role to settle for the $54 Million deal and has no regrets for his decision. During an interview with the New York Post last week, Alonso reflected on his signing and said:
"I have no regrets. Honestly, with how everything played out, I have no regrets, which is honestly liberating. I wouldn’t change a thing."
