Jake Paul issues bold challenge against Floyd Mayweather: “Wouldn't last two rounds with me”

Jake Paul has challenged boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, claiming he can knock him out in two rounds. Despite Paul's previous match against Mike Tyson sparking controversy, he is pushing for a showdown with the retired champion. Mayweather has shown no interest in the fight, referring to Paul as an unworthy opponent.

Jake Paul is at it again. Known for his razor-sharp wit to get under the skin of his rival, Paul has shaken the boxing world with a bold statement. Paul has not just challenged any other fighter for a bout, but he has called out one of the best in the game, Floyd Mayweather. While the exchange of heated words between the two is not new, this statement by Paul carries the weight to stir up massive UFC drama. The YouTuber turned boxer made dauntless claims of knocking Mayweather in just two rounds. As gutsy as this sounds, the social media mogul is indeed looking for a showdown.

Jake Paul stuns fans for calling out Floyd Mayweather

Paul is known for his ability to trash talk to get the best reactions out of his rivals; he knows how to stir up the drama. This isn’t the first time that Paul has challenged the best players of the sport; for instance, his recent match against the boxing legend Mike Tyson made headlines around the globe. After winning over Tyson, he has yet again called out one of the best UFC fighters to take up the challenge of facing him inside the octagon.

In a recent appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Mayweather was asked about the newcomer’s rapid rise to success in the sport; however, Mayweather is not the one to be easily impressed. He did not only dismiss the hype around Paul but also revealed how even at an advanced age, he does not make up to the level of being an equally competent opponent. His exact words, to be precise, were "At 48, too easy.” This response of Mayweather does not surprise us at all, as the veteran star is not someone who can be tamed inside the octagon by a newbie.

Can Jake Paul win against Floyd Mayweather?

Paul’s fight against Tyson was massively bashed for being rigged, and fans around the globe felt that the legend held back his absolute strength against Paul. Another fight against a veteran star will indeed create a hefty buzz, but it might also turn out better than what people expected in the Tyson vs. Paul match. Despite Mayweather being retired, he can still take on an opponent like Jake Paul.

If this showdown ever happens, it will happen as an exhibition match. While there has been no response from Mayweather expressing his intent to fight, Paul has indeed started something by beginning the trash talk, which may or may not reach a climax inside the ring.
