Referring to the intense thriller from the Safdie brothers, Joe Rogan described how the film was a hypnotic experience that he still felt effects from even after watching.

"The movie's so good it locks you in," Joe Rogan said. "It locked you into this character and his decision-making, and this addiction to gambling that he has. Shady characters all around, everybody is pulling scams... at the end of the movie, you are like WHAT THE F**K?"

"Yeah, that movie—I shut it off, and I was just breathing heavy for 5 minutes," Joe Rogan admitted, offering a cautionary tale to potential viewers. His guest, comedian Deric Poston, shared a similar experience, noting that his wife felt extremely uncomfortable while watching the film in theatres.
