While Towns was dazzling under the lights at the gala, he was just as impactful under the arena lights the night before. In a solid performance during the Knicks’ 112–98 win over the Phoenix Suns, he dropped 19 points along with 13 rebounds, marking his ninth consecutive game with a double-double or better. Though not his sharpest shooting night, especially from three, Towns’ presence in the team is very much crucial for the Knicks’ playoff hopes.
