Remember when Kanye West dropped that "I'm gonna let you finish" line on Taylor Swift at the VMAs? Well, Paolo Banchero just pulled a similar move, but on the basketball court, and with a whole lot more spice. Move over, red carpets and acceptance speeches, the real drama is happening courtside, and this time, we have the receipts, or rather, the leaked audio.

Leaked Audio Exposes Paolo Banchero’s Alleged Trash Talk to Georges Niang: What Did He Say?

A video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by Legendz, has blown the lid off a heated exchange between Banchero and Niang. It all started after a foul call went Banchero’s way, prompting Niang to call him out for flopping. Banchero, never one to back down, fired back with, "You mad you can't get that call? I get buckets." Niang, not to be outdone, retorted, "No... keep shooting that midrange. See where that gets you." But Banchero wasn't finished. He brought out the big guns, saying, “You saw what happened last year.” Niang’s response? A simple, "You went home," referencing the Magic's early playoff exit.

But Banchero, had the last word, asserting, “I busted your a**.” This wasn't just random smack talk. Banchero was referencing his stellar performance against Niang's former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, in last year's playoffs. He averaged a jaw-dropping 27 points, 8.6 rebounds, and four assists per game in that series, even dropping a playoff career-high 31 points in Game 3. Someone got out the receipts.
While Niang might have pointed out the ultimate outcome – the Magic's elimination – Banchero's individual dominance against the Cavs is undeniable. It's like bragging about your K/D ratio in a video game even if your team lost. Sure, you didn't win, but you definitely made your mark.
