While Cavs superstar Donovan Mitchell intervened to stop the chant, Haliburton made sure to respond to the boo with his game winning three and it has earned praise from NBA legend Magic Johnson in an appreciation post on social media.

NBA legend and Hall of Famer Magic Johnson showered praise for Haliburton in a post on X. “Indiana Pacers Tyrese Haliburton hit the game-winning three to put the Pacers up 2-0 in the Series against the Cavaliers. He made everyone eat their words that he was overrated with this outstanding Playoff performance,” Johnson wrote on X.
The billionaire NBA legend further shared, “In the first round against the Milwaukee Bucks Haliburton averaged 26 points, 10 assists, and 5 rebounds. In Game 1 against the Cavs he scored 22 points and 13 assists and in Game 2 tonight, he had 19 points and 9 rebounds.”Tyrese Haliburton delivered a strong performance over six games, showing efficiency and control on both ends of the floor. Averaging 36:02 minutes per game, Haliburton shot an impressive 63.6% from the field, making 7 of his 11 shot attempts. He was perfect from beyond the arc, hitting both of his 3-point attempts.
