The former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has cracked a joke through his Instagram post of his return to the field.
Roethlisberger’s reaction came after he heard that the team has signed a deal worth of net $150 million with DK Metcalf. He expressed his possible coming out from retirement on Sunday, March 9.

Ben Roethlisberger humorous post about his potential comeback

Taking it to the Instagram, Roethlisberger posted a video on Sunday and said, “Coach T (Mike Tomlin) are you kidding me? DK Metcalf on one side, GP (George Pickens) on the other, Muth (Pat Freiermuth) working the middle?”
“I might need to throw my hat in the ring.” If you're looking for a guy I might still have a couple of throws in me,” he further added to the video post.

The post seems interesting and humorous. Roethlisberger can be seen wearing an old Steelers helmet and expressing his disagreements with his team choice.
His post indirectly shows that he is not happy with the team trading for star wide receiver DK Metcalf for the 2025 season. Fired up Roethlisberger, hence choose to come out of his retirement.
The 43-year-old was on a break and has not played at the NFL since 2021. According to a media report, Metcalf and Pittsburgh agreed to a five-year.
Roethlisberger might have something in his mind which seems very unclear as he has not revealed when he is coming back. On the other hand, his team has struggled to cope with the last quarterback season.
The 26-year-old Justin Fields and Russell Wilson were the major two competitors for the 2025 season. Keeping the struggles aside, the team had to make some tough decisions.
It has been known that the team have expected to extend a fresh offer to the free agent Sam Darnold. This news was disclosed by Diana Russini of The Athletic.
Roethlisberger retired after the 2022 season after being associated with the Pittsburgh for 18 years, he chose to be on break. This former Pittsburgh Steelers player was one of the best key players of the team.
He created history by playing games for 249, which is more than any of the players of the team. Roethlisberger's return yet seems very unpredictable but also his posts shows the frustrations towards Metcalf being traded.
