Derek Carr’s heart-wrenching revelation has left many in the NFL community and beyond reeling with emotion. “I’ve been dealing with lies”: Derek Carr gets candid about his injury and media scrutiny

Since news of Derek Carr’s injury broke, he had not publicly addressed the situation until Sunday, April 27, when he spoke at a church service for Church LV.
“I really hate that I have to bring this up, but I feel like I need to,” Carr told the congregation. “Yes, I have a shoulder injury, regardless of what ESPN or some lady on a podcast may think. I have the MRI to back it up. The team is fully aware, and we’ve been in constant communication. Everything’s fine, we’re working through it, and we’ll keep moving forward. Is that okay? I’ve had to deal with people lying about me and spreading all sorts of things. I’m just asking, Lord, why do I have to keep dealing with this nonsense?”

Despite these challenges, Carr has shown immense strength, balancing his emotional grief with the physical demands of his football career. His faith and commitment to his family have been guiding forces through this tumultuous time. Although his own health is a concern, his focus on supporting Heather and their children speaks volumes about his character.
