At 33 years old, Armstead has been a steady presence on Miami’s offensive line since joining the team three years ago. Despite his age, he continued to perform at a high level in 2024, ranking third overall among offensive tackles according to Pro Football Focus. His pass-blocking and run-blocking grades placed him among the league’s elite, a testament to his reliability.

However, retirement talks are gaining momentum, and if Armstead does decide to hang up his cleats, Miami will have a significant void to fill. Even with two years remaining on his contract, he has already restructured his deal, reducing his 2025 base salary to just over $1.2 million—the NFL minimum.
