Back in January 2025, NoSkoZone shared an X post, where Shedeur Sanders was practicing QB throws with Cam Ward. In that video, Shedeur Sanders tells Cam Ward, “You are generational. I am legendary.” No wonder, after four months, some still thought Shedeur Sanders was legendary and high on himself. Some from the NFL fraternity itself, like the 64-year-old Boomer Esiason.
The former NFL MVP talks about Cleveland Browns’ 144th pick, Shedeur Sanders, on his Morning Show with Boomer and Gio. Esiason says, “Shedeur Sanders just torpedoed himself.” Now, did he do that? We all know. We’ve read it all piece by piece. But do we know what the NFL teams thought about him? Probably not to the Z. Three NFL personnel people shared it with the Bengals Ring of Honor, Boomer Esiason. Let’s hear him out, shall we?
Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year awardee Boomer Esiason said the 144th pick of Cleveland Browns Shedeur Sanders was very high on himself
On April 28, the former quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, Boomer Esiason, said on his Morning Show, “Shedeur Sanders just torpedoed himself, his attitude off the field, at the Combine. His dad(NFL legend Deion Sanders) didn’t help him either. He(Deion Sanders) was on podcast talking about - This is my son, if I can get him to where I wanna get him to - I’m gonna do that.”
The four-time Pro Bowl quarterback, Boomer Esiason, went on, “But when you listen to this kid talk right prior or at the Combine about - If you want a new culture in your locker room, I’m the guy to do that. I can turn it around - I mean, he’s very high on himself. And I think he was very off-putting to many, many coaches and general managers in the league.”
Former QB Boomer Esiason mentioned many NFL teams’ owners asked their personnel people to take Shedeur Sanders off their boards
The former CBS Sports Analyst, Boomer Esiason, shared a few secrets of the inside world of the NFL, “And I’m telling you right now, and I know this after talking to three different personnel people in the NFL this weekend - they didn’t even have him(Shedeur Sanders) on their board. They took him off. They took him off because the owner said - Take him off. I don’t want that guy. I don’t want this entitled person on our team - And I don’t blame them.”
