Former WWE star Cedric Alexander, who has reigned on SmackDown for so many years, has recently revealed that he is more of a "Paul Heyman guy." He has spoken about his deep respect and admiration for Paul Heyman, who has been his mentor during his WWE days.
Paul Heyman, popularly known as The Wiseman in WWE, has influenced and inspired many wrestlers in the company. The former WWE SmackDown star has recently revealed that he is someone who looks up to Paul Heyman.
The Wiseman has been a guide to Cedric Alexander during his tough times and has supported him thoroughly. Heyman has even advised him on strategies and how to deal with challenging situations during his WWE journey.

Cedric Alexander revealed that he identified himself more as a "Paul Heyman guy" than a "Triple H guy" during his tenure in WWE. He said this because when he was under Heyman's direction on RAW, he received more personalized advice and support, which helped in his development as a wrestler.

Cedric Alexander discussed his experiences with Paul Heyman during an interview on the "Insight with Chris Van Vliet" podcast. In this conversation, he spoke about his WWE release, his tenure with The Hurt Business, and the guidance he received from Heyman.
In the podcast, he revealed, “I was never really a fully Triple H guy. I was more of a Paul Heyman guy. When he was writing RAW, and they drafted me out of 205 Live into RAW, I was more of a Heyman guy than anything else.”

When asked more about how Heyman has been a guide to him, and how he made him learn about patience during his WWE days. The former WWE star added: "Patience, for better or worse, patience. I remember there was one point I went to Heyman, and I was just like, I was probably on RAW for like a year, but they haven't really done anything with me. And I was like, Hey, Paul, what do you need for me in order to get to that next level? He was just telling me just wait. We'll take care of you.” (source: Insight podcast)
Cedric Alexander was last seen in action against Ethan Page on the January 28, 2025, episode of NXT, where he lost to Page in his final match for WWE.
