Vince McMahon once had an shocking storyline idea with Stephanie McMahon that she outrightly refused to take part in on WWE television programming.
Vince McMahon was the force behind the expansion and creative direction of WWE for many years. It was his geniuses and acumen that made WWE a major success for years and led to the rise of multiple top names in the business. He was also known to be very hands-on in terms of onscreen television storylines.
Furthermore, McMahon used to have the support of other top officials, one of them being his own daughter, Stephanie McMahon. While The Billion Dollar Princess did everything her father asked her to do, she bluntly refused to take part in a storyline that was outrageous in her mind and possibly would have been for the fans, too.

Why did Stephanie McMahon reject a storyline pitch from Vince McMahon?

In the mid-2000s, Stephanie McMahon was pregnant in real life with her husband, Triple H's child. During that time, she also made a few appearances as part of her father Vince and brother Shane's rivalry with Shawn Michaels, flaunting her baby bump. It was during that time that McMahon came up with a shocking storyline idea that he pitched to his daughter.
Vince McMahon proposed the idea of being the one to have impregnated her and was the father of Stephanie McMahon's child in the storyline. However, Stephanie found it to be too much incest stuff for live television and immediately rejected her father's idea.
Vince said, "One of my storyline ideas was that Stephanie gets pregnant. I think…I was the one who impregnated her. My character. I think it was something like that. It [Stephanie’s response] was like, ‘No.’ That one didn’t make it."

This was the second time she had said no to her father. The first time was when Vince pitched the idea of Stephanie McMahon and Triple H's real-life wedding taking place on WWE televised programming.
Stephanie said in an old documentary, "My dad did approach me about wanting to be the father of my baby in a storyline for TV, which again only the second time I've ever actually said no to him for something he wanted to do. That one was just a little too gross actually. It's completely disgusting."

Stephanie McMahon is still a part of WWE in an unknown capacity, making a recent appearance at the 2025 Royal Rumble event. On the other hand, Vince McMahon exited the company in 2024 after serious sexual misconduct allegations were slapped by former Janel Grant.
