A long-standing rumor about former
WWE Champion Brock Lesnar has finally been debunked by a WWE Hall of Famer.
Brock Lesnar has made waves since the time he debuted in WWE in 2002. He was 'The Next Big Thing' at the time. However, in 2003, he was part of the infamous 'Plane Ride from Hell' involving multiple WWE superstars and personnel on a plane from a WWE show. Moreover, there had been a rumor about Lesnar in regards to that incident which has now been clarified by an eye witness, WWE Hall of Famer
John Bradshaw Layfield.
What did JBL say about the rumor regarding Brock Lesnar and the Plane Ride from Hell?
Multiple WWE superstars and personnel were on an airplane after the WWE Insurrextion event in London on May 5, 2002. That was one of the craziest incidents in the company where many stars created a havoc. In the same chaos, it had been reported that Brock Lesnar got into a fight with WWE Legend "Mr Perfect" Curt Hennig.
After years of hearing multiple versions, including one that said that Lesnar and Hennig almost broke the emergency door, WWE Hall of Famer JBL, who was present at the time, spilled the beans on what actually went down. During an appearance on the Something to Wrestle podcast, the former WWE Champion claimed that the story of them coming close to breaking the emergency door was untrue. added that not even people on that plane or the pilot had any concerns regarding the same.
JBL said,
“Curt had boots on, Brock was barefoot, and Curt stomped him with his heel on Brock’s barefoot, and Brock goes [screams], throws him over his head. But, in my opinion, there was never a concern about them going through the emergency exit. Never. Not one. I was standing right beside it. The captain didn’t come back and say, ‘Oh my God, you’re gonna go out the emergency exit.’ None of that happened.”JBL *live* | ASK JBL ANYTHING! | Brawl for All! Working stiff! Blue Meanie! Anything!
While Lesnar's name is clarified in regards to one incident, he is still caught in the cobweb of the Vince McMahon Janel Grant lawsuit with his name now coming up officially in the amended lawsuit. The Beast Incarnate last wrestled against Cody Rhodes in a losing effort at the 2023 WWE SummerSlam event. Moreover, it has been reported that until the legal situation is diffused, Lesnar would not be able to return to WWE.
However, it was reported by Ringside News that Lesnar had a small response in regards to his WWE comeback, saying "We'll See." So it remains to be seen if Lesnar could resurface to the company in the future.
