WWE SmackDown this week emanated from the Wells Fargo Center in Philidephia. The episode brought all the fallout from WWE Elimination Chamber PLE and was an exciting night with spectacular in-ring action, heated moments and the crowning of a brand new WWE US Champion.

Randy Orton's segment

Randy Orton opened the show, making his return to SmackDown. He started by taking shots at John Cena's heel turn and then turned his attention towards Kevin Owens. Orton berated Kevin Owens as a person and claimed that he did not understand why he was jealous despite accomplishing so much in WWE. Orton laid out a warning that he might just punt Owens for taking months off his career.

Tiffany Stratton vs Piper Niven

The match was set after a backstage altercation between the duo before SmackDown. The fans saw the impressive power of Piper Niven go up against Tiffany Stratton's athleticism. The ending saw Tiffany moving out of the way upon Piper's top rope move and hitting the Prettiest Moonsault Ever to seal the win. However, she was attacked by her WrestleMania 41 opponent, Charlotte Flair, who locked in the Figure Eight submisison.

Pretty Deadly vs Motor City Machine Guns vs Los Garza

This match was scheduled by GM Nick Aldis to determine which team will be next in line to challenge for the WWE tag team championships. It was a compelling tag team showdown that had the audience on their feet and saw Pretty Deadly pick up a surprise win over the Machine Guns (Alex Shelly and Chris Sabin) and Los Garza (Angel and Berto) to be next in line to challenge for tag team gold.

Bianca Belair's segment with Naomi

Bianca Belair reflected on Jade Cargill's return at Elimination Chamber and attack on Naomi. Both women came face to face in the ring. Naomi made it clear that Jade had been using Bianca to succeed in WWE, and she despised Cargill for stealing her opportunities. After beating around the bush, Naomi admitted to her crime, and Belair left the ring in tears as Naomi kept reasoning with her. But when she did not listen, Naomi sounded off on her. Just then, Jade Cargill arrived in the arena and marched to the ring. Cargill went on to beat down Naomi and planted her with a Jaded.

Braun Strowman vs Solo Sikoa

This was a highly tough showdown between both behemoths. Both Braun Strowman and Solo Sikoa displayed their excellent feat of strengths and had the audience on their feet. However, the match came to an abrupt end after Tama Tonga caused interference. Strowman managed to fend him off, but Jacob Fatu came out, and a brawl ensued between them. Fatu had the upper hand for a while, but Strowman bounced back and chokeslammed him from the top of a production box to a table. However, Fatu managed to get up in a few seconds.

Chelsea Green vs Michin

This match was a Street Fight for Chelsea Green's WWE Women's United States Championship. Both her and Michin used different types of foreign weapons to their disposal to inflict damage on each other. The match saw some of the most exciting spots, from the use of kendosticks and tables to the use of fire extinguishers. The ending was even more surprising as Alba Fyre came out of nowhere to attack Michin and help Chelsea Green retain her championship.

Cody Rhodes' segment

Cody Rhodes came out with a bruised eye and addressed John Cena, turning heel at the Elimination Chamber PLE. He demanded an explanation for his actions and made it clear that despite his giving up on the fans and beating him down, Rhodes was still the face of WWE. In the end, a defiant Cody Rhodes called out the 16-time World Champion to "Come Get Some."

Drew McIntyre vs Jimmy Uso

The action was a thrilling encounter between Drew McIntyre and Jimmy Uso. The end of this showdown saw McIntyre hitting a Claymore Kick on Jimmy to seal the win. As Drew intended to inflict more damage on him, Damien Priest came out to attack him as payback for attacking him backstage at the start of the show.

LA Knight vs Shinsuke Nakamura

This match was contested for the WWE United States Championship. The match was a highly exhilarating showdown between heated rivals. Toward the end of the showdown, Shinsuke Nakamura accidentally spit the red mist on the referee and tried to use a chair to his advantage. However, LA Knight countered and delivered his finisher, the BFT to Nakamura on the chair and score the pinfall to win his second US title in the main event.
