Powering progress: Orient Electric’s Ujjwal to empower 6,000 electricians this year

In partnership with Cure Academy and Teach India, Orient Electric has trained 6,000 electricians across Delhi NCR, Lucknow, Patna, Indore, and Bangalore this year under the Ujjwal initiative. These partners bring deep grassroots knowledge and proven expertise in vocational training and community engagement, ensuring that the program is both contextually relevant and nationally scalable.
Strengthening electrician expertise

Led by certified and experienced trainers, each session covers critical aspects of the electrical trade while also focusing on interpersonal skills, digital literacy, and financial management. Each participating electrician is guided through a carefully structured curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on, practical training, encompassing everything from the fundamentals of electrical safety to the latest advancements in smart home technologies.
Skill India Certification

The program offers structured learning, with electricians receiving Skill India Certification under the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), which provides them with a competitive edge in a rapidly evolving market and enhances their employment prospects.
