Why ganji chudail meme became popular
Created by Majedar Kahani – a popular YouTube channel, the Chudail is an animated character. The back story goes like this – Hema was known for her beautiful hair, which made others envious. However, when a new couple, Malini and Ganesh, moved into the village, Hema discovered that Malini's hair was even more stunning. Upset by the comparison, Hema confided in her husband, Birju, who decided to take drastic action. He snuck into Malini's house while she slept and cut off all her hair, leaving her bald. Devastated by the loss, Malini couldn't bear it and died, returning as a vengeful spirit—thus the "Ganji Chudail" was born, seeking revenge for what was done to her.
Ganji chudail quickly rose to fame with brands like Swiggy, Netflix as well as makers of movie ‘Stree 2’ used the meme for promotions.
